I really like this photo, but advise for future uploads, i always try to keep the image at about 1024x768.. i run dual 1600x1200 and still cant get this all within my scope. You will get alot more comments if you drop it down to that.. because people can only see a small peephole of the work and that annoys them. Plus, if its really good, u can sell the full image as a print, you dont want people thieving up your full works.. heh..
Now, for the critique of this work:
I love the focus of this picture, fantastic. The fence pulls you through the picture, and intersecting within the length of the fence is the water pipe, which is obviously the focus of your photo. The image is very grainy, which I am assuming is what you are going for. Drop the grain just a bit, though, because it's overpowering. The colors of the photo are very well done in that the red of the photo brings your attention right the the main entity, which is the water pipe, and the green contrasts that red very powerfully. You have captured the essence of living in the rural missouri area in one snap. Try to get a bit of blue in this photo, if you ever reshoot it, in the sky. By modifying your color balance, or by grabbing up a filter that will pull out the detail, or just change the aperature a bit.. play with it.. maybe even try out photoshop, you may be able to pull out the sky with that. You can really capture alot of detail and make the sky a part of your photo as well.
I would normally suggest centering the main subject as well, but I dont think that this photo needs to be centered, it might take away from the photo if you were to do that. I really like the location choice of this shot and you did a very good job at capturing alot of movement through the photo, contrast between green and red (even without blue, it does a great job) and aspect, shadow is very good, it very definately shows that it was taken in the later afternoon.
All in all, this shot intrigues me alot, it is really enjoyable to look at, I just wish there was a bit less grain so that I could get the full effect of the detail in the photo.

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
